Matt Swink | Director and Instructor

​

Matt has been with Funfit since he was in his mid-Teens and has grown to be one of our favorite instructors, as well as camp and party leader. Matt has now taken the reigns and is now not only our lead instructor but the Director of Funfit and the man in charge of all programming in Maryland & Virginia. Here are some fun facts about Matt.

Question 1: Tell us a little something special about yourself and why you like working with Funfit.

Matt Swink: I like working with Funfit because I love working with kids and I love being active and teaching classes/after school clubs keeps me active and it’s getting me ready to be a pre school or kindergarten teacher in the future. Something special about myself is every summer I go to skim boarding competitions to try to accomplish one my dreams.

 

Question2: What is your favorite food?

Matt Swink: My favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs.

 

Question 3: What is your favorite book?

Matt Swink: I don’t really have a favorite book because I like reading all books. I especially like reading sports books and mystery books. But my favorite author would have to be Matt Christopher because I’ve loved his books ever since I was a kid.

 

Question 4: Tell us a little something about your family(siblings, spouses, children, etc)?

Matt Swink: My parents are Paula Almeda and Mike Swink, both are remarried, I am the 3rd child out of 4, I have 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister. I also have a godson Landon who is my older brothers soy husband and I have 5 kids ranging in age from 26 to 33. I have 6 Grandkids ranging in age from10-2. My parents are alive and well, married 66yrs, born on the same day, 85 & 87yrs. old. I have 2 sisters & 1 brother. I adore my family!!!.

 

Question 5: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Matt Swink: What I like to do in my spare time is spend time with friends and family, play basketball every week, workout, play video games and go to the beach or go snowboarding.

 

Question 6: If you could choose to be any animal what would you choose and why?

Matt Swink: If I could be any animal I would probably be a Shark because I’ve always loved sharks for some reason and they get to travel all across the oceans and I love all the different types of sharks there are.

Question 1: Tell us a little something special about yourself and why you like working with Funfit.

Celia Kibler: I created Funfit to help all kids reach their fullest potential. More about the creation of Funfit can be found under the ABOUT on this site.

Question 2: What is your favorite food?

Celia Kibler: My favorite food is Eggs. They provide great energy and can be made easily and in so many different ways.

Question 3: What is your favorite book?

Celia Kibler: My favorite book is 30 Million Words by Dr. Dana Suskind, a must read for every parent and caregiver, as well as any book by James Patterson.

Question 4: Tell us a little something about your family(siblings, spouses, children, etc)?

Celia Kibler: My husband and I have 5 kids ranging in age from 32 to 39. I have been successfully parenting a blended marriage for over 25 years. I have 9 Grandkids ranging in age from 1-18years. I have 2 sisters & 1 brother. I adore my family!!!

 

Question 5: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Celia Kibler: I am love being a Family Empowerment Coach, it has become a full time job that used to be a part time passion. I love spending time with my kids and my grandkids. Check out my site at celiakibler.com.

 

Question 6: If you could choose to be any animal what would you choose and why?

Celia Kibler: I would be a Chameleon. Because they’re ever changing and I believe in life you need to be flexible and go with the flow. Always be willing to create new paths and directions when needed, and be willing to change, learn & grow.
